EISA Outstanding Contribution Award

EISA Members are invited to nominate outstanding candidates for the EISA Outstanding Contribution Award by 15th December 2017. EISA OCA candidates are IR scholars who have provided an innovative contribution to the IR discipline in Europe. Presently serving board members are ineligible.
An Award Committee, appointed by the EISA board by January 2018, will select the top candidate. The form should include the candidates' curriculum vitae and an endorsement statement between 50–250 words. All nomination materials should be submitted electronically to: info@eisa-net.org.

The EISA Outstanding Contribution Award is established to recognize an outstanding contribution to the field of International Relations in Europe. It is awarded to IR scholars who have provided an innovative contribution to the IR discipline in Europe. He/she has made outstanding accomplishments in academic research in IR and also in developing the European IR scholarly networks.

Criteria

An EISA Outstanding Contribution Award candidate is expected to have:
- provided an innovative contribution to European IR;
- demonstrated commitment to the profession over time;
- provided academic research that has benefited the field of European IR;
- endeavored to enhance the professional image and scholarly networks of European IR.

Selection Method

The EISA Outstanding Contribution Award is given annually to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the goals that EISA promotes.

A call for nominations is launched every year. EISA Members are invited to nominate outstanding candidates and submit a nomination form by December each year.

The form should include the candidates' curriculum vitae and an endorsement statement between 50–250 words. All nomination materials should be submitted electronically.

Presently serving board members are ineligible.

Selection and Notification

The Award Committee is appointed by the EISA board by January each year.

The committee receives all applications and selects the top candidate.

All candidates and nominators will be informed of the outcome by email.

The award recipient will be notified in June so they can attend the award ceremony at the EISA conference.

Award Ceremony

The award ceremony and reception will be held at the annual EISA conference. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by EISA.

Prize

The prize consists of honorary lifetime membership of the EISA'.
